![]() Contents 1) Adherence 1) Adherence All members of SRM are expected to understand and abide by this CoC at all times. Violations of the CoC are grounds for disciplinary action, determined by squad leadership. Severe or repeated violations may result in removal from the squad. 2) Behavior It is expected that all SRM individuals be mindful that they are representatives of the squad at all times, be that in game or anywhere where the SRM name can be seen. This includes: * Squad matches 2a) Self Control If you feel the need to vent, which is an understandable occurrence, post the action in the private members-only message board. Rants posted on FAO are also permissible so long as you are not bashing other squads or the administration. The CS may ask a member to stop posting if the topic is getting out of hand. Trolling and personal attacks are frowned upon as well. Members should refrain from these activities and from responding to obvious attempts to troll the squad. It is understandable that certain types of people are annoying both ingame and on the forums. Do not turn a rant into your personal war against them. 2b) In-Game Discrimination Members of SRM will refrain from bashing other players on the basis of rank, squad or leaderboard stats. Recruits will also be chosen based on their attitude and potential rather than rank or stats. 3) Squad Tags With the exception of hider nicks, all squad members must wear their squad tags in game. Doing so helps promote our recruitment and squad image by showing that we are active. 4) Recruitment Recruitment decisions are made by the squad as a whole, and all members are free to cast their votes and voice their opinions about potential members. The percentage of yes votes required for acceptance is usually 90%. Members who vote no are expected to explain their reasons for doing so. Old SRM members are welcome back in without a vote, so long as they left in good standing and have proof of their prior membership. Recruits who are accepted begin their probationary period, usually between two weeks and a month. This allows time for both the members and the recruit to see how they fit within the squad. They are still free to comment and vote on other applicants and squad issues. Recruits who complete their probationary period are automatically promoted to full member status. 5) Leaves of Absence If there is a situation that will cause you to be inactive for more than 21 days, please PM a CS member or post on our forums. We all understand that real life comes first and that we sometimes need a break from Allegiance. Members with prior notice will be flagged as "On Leave". However, members that have been absent for more than 30 days without notice will be considered AWOL (Absent With Out Leave). AWOL members will be removed from the ASGS squad roster after 60 days of inactivity. AWOL members who return are welcome back on the roster and should PM the SL or an ASL to be added again. Members who are on leave will not be removed from the roster. 6) Structure In Allegiance, the current command chain includes a Commander In Chief (CIC) and the Command Staff (CS). Appointments to the Command Staff will be made by the CIC and CS members. The CIC reserves the right to overrule any vote made by the general squad. 7) Positions Occasionally there will be positions available for additional duties within the squad. Some can be applied for, others are designated tasks. This is entirely up to the command staff and no member should feel slighted in any way about who is chosen for the role. Accepting such a position may or may not entitle the successful applicant to become a member of the command staff, however it will be noted if CS membership is part of the position.
SRM has an internal ranking system listed below and based on position within the squad. Once a new rank is achieved, there will be an official notice. A command staff rank will only be reached by mandate of the current command staff. Promotions are always earned, however they should not be asked for, and will never be given to individuals demanding one. 9) Ranking System Squad Leader 10) Squad Match Challenges Only the SL, ASLs and designated members of SRM are allowed to make or accept challenges against other squads. |
